A fun podcast

If you remember the show called Dr Katz Professional Therapist that used to be on Comedy Central, You may be interested to know that Jonathan Katz has a podcast called Hey We're Back that is quite funny. You may also want to check out his CD, Caffinated.

The iTunes doctors?

I was in iTunes last night looking for an iPhone app when I noticed the "Staff Favorites" section had an app called Virtual Volume which came from the Medical section.

So I clicked on it and found out that it's software for viewing MRI and CT scans.

Really? That's a staff first-page favorite? The iTunes staff really love looking at MRI and CT scans so much they just had to share their favorite way to do it? Well, it's their favorite behind Little Red Sled, but it did beat WordSearch Kids.

Historians have uncovered what may be the last photo of Lincoln which was taken by Ulysses S. Grant. It could be Lincoln, but could also be bigfoot. It looks like Ulysses S. Grant took it with his cellphone while riding a horse or something, it's not very clear.

Great podcast

Earth and Environmental Systems, by Professor Christian Shorey of the Colorado School of Mines, has 57 lectures which average about an hour per episode. That's enough to keep any geology fans busy for quite a while. This podcast series has been going for nearly two years and I'm not even sure he's done yet. Available through iTunes or through the rss feed at the link.
